| Mediation is a rapidly growing field of study. An alternative to the legal system, therapy or counseling, the facilitative mediation process empowers people to resolve conflict in a wide variety of areas including divorce/child custody, healthcare, workplace, and arbitration. |

| Colorado State University School of Social Work in collaboration with the Institute for Advanced Dispute Resolution (IADR) is now offering a graduate certificate designed to train professionals to negotiate and resolve disputes and is similar to programs often available through law schools. |

| This unique collaboration between the School of Social Work and IADR provides participants with an outstanding faculty and a challenging and practice-based curriculum that will enhance and advance any career including those in the field of social work. |

In addition to a the CSU graduate certificate and mediation certificate, some of these courses are also authorized for re-certification in the fields of law, HR and Certified Family Life Educator — allowing you to earn a variety of professional education credits/units. Individual course descriptions will indicate if a course is approved for these types of credits.
