| The field education program in the CSU School of Social Work is structured to give students an experience of quality and challenge in an agency setting under the guidance and field instruction of a BSW or MSW field instructor with at least two years of post-graduate experience. Agencies offer our students generalist and advanced generalist field experiences and opportunities to implement the knowledge, values, and skills learned in the classroom, as well as expand their learning with new and enhanced skills. Student feedback indicates that the field placement experience is valued as one of the most important elements in their BSW/MSW education. |
